Absolute Enterprises, Paget

A palette of Dune and Woodland Grey provides a contemporary look for Absolute Enterprises’ new workshop and office. 

Project Overview:

Grant Painters’ Mackay team was engaged to deliver a complete painting package for Absolute Enterprises’ new purpose-built 1200 square metre workshop and office in Paget, the city’s industrial precinct.

The project encompassed all interior and exterior painting, together with the application of a heavy-duty epoxy coating to the workshop floor – providing a durable, high-performance finish designed to withstand the demands of an industrial environment.

What we did

Exterior: The exterior concrete tilt-panel construction was prepared with a xylene-based sealer to promote optimum paint adhesion before receiving two coats of premium membrane coating for long-lasting protection.

The building was finished in a contemporary colour palette featuring Colorbond Dune and Woodland Grey. The project also included painting 33 safety bollards in Golden Yellow and completing the car park line marking.

Interior: Internal tilt-panel walls were painted to “dado” height throughout the workshop, with all office areas also receiving a high-quality finish, as thee images below demonstrate (to come from Mark).

To maximise durability and performance , the main workshop was coated with a high-build two-pack epoxy mastic floor coating system from Hempel. The boilermaker workshop floor was coated with Haymes Paveshield in a clear satin finish for ease of cleaning. 

The results:

Premium coating systems, meticulous surface preparation and proactive quality control were keys to another high-quality project. 

Site foreman Mark Picton praised the quality of the work.

“It went really well. This is the second job Grant Painters have completed for me, and I haven’t had any issues,” he said.

“They were proactive about quality control. They prepared their own defect list and addressed every item as they progressed, so there were no problems at the end.

“Getting it right was something they were very particular about.”

Work on the epoxy flooring gets under way, providing a durable, high-performance finish.
